Ok, it might be worse where you're headed but you won't know that until you get there and it's worth the risk in my book. A nine hour bus ride brought us to Cordoba. Somewhere around Hour 7, the miserable grey skies that had followed us so doggedly showed a moment of weakness and the sun at last found a foothold. Clever Rach had managed to book us a room at the Cordoba Backpackers from the telephone cabins in Rosario bus terminal (I think she just wanted to escape the freezing waiting hall for a moment - seriously, sitting there in my t-shirt, long-sleeved t-shirt, pullover and fleece together with hat and gloves I watched as my breath condensed into mist the moment it hit the air), so we caught a taxi there once we'd pulled into to the large, multi-level bus terminal at the south-east corner of the city. Cordoba is where you come for Jesuit temples and estancias. Particularly if said Jesuit edifices have been recognised by a certain international body interested in the protection of old buildings and suchlike, whose name shall not now be mentioned (I may have mentioned it in the past - but I think I've got away with it...).
